High Country UHF Digital Net (Every Tuesday Night)
DMR net
Tuesday, 08:00pm – 08:30pm
Contact WA4NC, Marvin Hoffman, Net Control.
The High Country UHF Digital Net will be held each Tuesday evening at 8:00 P.M. on the Boone, Sugartop, Wilkesboro, Lenoir, Hendersonville, Waynesville and Spruce Pine repeaters LOCAL talkgroup. (The local talkgroup on those repeaters, and others in Western North Carolina are linked for the net, so whichever one you can best get into will work fine.)
The purposes of the net include:
- Passing along information to the group concerning ARES/Auxcomm.
- Gathering information about the coverage of the linked repeaters.
- Providing an opportunity for digital users to become acquainted with each other over the air.
- Exchanging information about amateur radio in the High Country.
The format will be similar to the Henderson County ARES/AUXCOMM 2 meter net. Net control will call the net to order and invite stations to check in according to call sign suffix groupings. Net control will pass along information of general interest to the group and then invite comments from net participants. At the conclusion of the net, participants are encouraged to communicate directly with each other.
Location: Boone, Sugartop, Wilkesboro, Lenoir, Hendersonville and Spruce Pine DMR repeaters, local talkgroup
