This is the website of the Amateur Radio Emergency Service® (ARES) organization of Henderson County, North Carolina. The purpose of this website is to provide site visitors an introduction to ARES/AUXCOMM and to make available information to members of our organization in a useful and timely manner.
Nets On The Air
- When: Every Wednesday evening, 9:00 PM. (except in December when we do not meet because of Holidays)
- What: Henderson County ARES/AUXCOMM Training Net
- Freq: 146.640 Mhz, PL 91.5.
- Purpose: To pass traffic, information and training for ARES members.
All Radio Amateurs are welcome to check in to the net. However, non-members are asked to wait until all ARES members have been checked in by the Net Control Station.
Come to our Meetings
- When: 4th Monday each month, 6:30 pm (except in December when we do not meet because of Holidays)
- Where:
State Medical Assistance Team (SMAT) warehouse (enter through the door to the left of the main entry)
518 S Allen Rd, Flat Rock. - Purpose: Planning, training, show-and-tell, and other stuff of interest.
(This is located behind the Jazzercise and Art of Dance Studio building on S. Allen Rd. The closest end of S. Allen Rd intersects with Upward Road)
